Dining Room/Living Room: Paint!

Here is a refresher of the dining room before...

 Below is the dining room after paint and new molding(taken with a cell phone but you get the idea)!

 Here is another refresher for the living room...

It still needs some molding but it's looking much better!

Kitchen: Removing Cabinets

This is how this side of the kitchen started out...

Below is after taking out the cabinet/dishwasher. The microwave will be next to go.

 This is going on on the other side of the kitchen. the shelves that were cut out will be replaced with pull-out drawers for easier access.

 And the view into the living room is starting to improve (minus having chairs on the table)! It has a new coat of paint! Below is a reminder of how it previously looked...

Den: New Ceiling!

As you can see, when we took the square tile ceiling down, there was...more paneling!! So lots of staples had to be removed and then drywall went up.

 So much better already!

Den/Bedroom 3: Before

This is the smallest bedroom in the house and was originally a den that attached to the kitchen. It has real paneling and has been claimed by my dad as the "man cave". So no painting going on here...it has a future of recliners and mounted animals. The carpet will come up and that's about the extent of the changes.

Standing in the room looking into the hall. Living room to the left. Master bedroom right ahead of it to the left. Guest bedroom straight ahead. Hall bath to the left.

Hall Bathroom: Before

The second bathroom in the house is in the hall. It currently has a pink toilet and tub with laminate floors. It will be getting a new toilet and a pedestal sink to replace the vanity. It will also get a new paint job and some other sprucing-up.

Guest Bedroom: Before

The guest bedroom was the darkest room in the house. There were blinds to go with the dark walls and carpet. This carpet will also be pulled up and the room will get a fresh coat of paint. We will be refinishing some of the furniture in here, and a new fan will be installed.

After several days of sorting through things, we got a little goofy. My aunt found an old picture of herself, and we are pretty sure we found the bow she was wearing...

 The below picture is even funnier because of the look on my mom's face...priceless.

Master Bedroom: Before

The master bedroom was the only room in the house that was painted...even if it was just plain white. It is getting a new, fresh color and the carpet is being removed to expose the hardwoods! The master bath (which Opa added on himself) is getting some new paint, light fixtures, and towel racks. A new fan will also be going in the master.
