Man Cave Updates

This was the third bedroom that is slowly being turned into the man cave. We kept all of the paneling and pulled up the old carpet.
Here is the view so far. Lots of animals and a recliner. We used an old trunk that was my grandfather's actual travel trunk as a side table. It is sitting on a stool to create a side table.
Here is another angle before.
Here it is now. Still some progress to be made but getting there! The rug is a plush off-white shag rug that I found at Pottery Barn outlet. It works perfectly in there.
I used the same frame for the picture of my dad and his "man cave" custom art work that my friend Hillary designed. They work great in there!

We used the old den book shelf in between the windows to house some of my dad's books and his collection of ducks. It will probably be painted eventually to give some contrast from the wood walls. There will also eventually be some shades to replace the mini blinds currently in the space.

Bedroom 3/Man Cave: Oh Deer (and fish)

In case you forgot, here is where we started (after the furniture was cleared out). We used this room to store everything else in the house temporarily. It got a lot worse than this!!
Since this room will be my dad's "man cave" as he has dubbed it, we got started with some of the details. Obviously those window treatments will not stay.
There will be a couple of chairs in front of this wall and the cool trunk in the corner will be a side table. The small table will move to the opposite wall to house the TV and the tall cabinet will move between the windows. The carpet will come up and a new rug will go over the hardwoods underneath.
In case this wasn't enough animals for you, there's another deer behind me.
We have also worked on some things that will go on the right wall. My friend Hillary designed the picture on the left (how cool is that?) and Smokey the bear is actually my dad. In case it was hard to recognize him.

Den/Bedroom 3: Before

This is the smallest bedroom in the house and was originally a den that attached to the kitchen. It has real paneling and has been claimed by my dad as the "man cave". So no painting going on here...it has a future of recliners and mounted animals. The carpet will come up and that's about the extent of the changes.

 View from the hall door.
Windows that look onto the back patio.

Standing in the room looking into the hall. Living room to the left. Master bedroom right ahead of it to the left. Guest bedroom straight ahead. Hall bath to the left.
